Lodging during SOAR
On-Campus Lodging
During the Freshman Summer SOAR sessions (excluding the August session), a residence hall will be open for overnight lodging for an additional fee as listed below (rates and availability are subject to change):
For Students:*
- Double Occupancy Room (1 night) $25 Per Student
For Guests**:
- Double Occupancy Room (1 night) $25 Per Person
- Private Occupancy (1 night) $25 Per Person
The cost for overnight lodging in the residence halls includes linens for each bed (sheets and pillowcase), a pillow for each bed, and a towel and washcloth for each person.
When making your reservation for SOAR, you will be able to request on-campus lodging during SOAR if desired. Payment for on-campus housing will be accepted online by using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) or an authorized Visa/MasterCard debit card.
If you have selected SOAR On-Campus Lodging on your reservation please arrive 1 hour prior to SOAR check in to receive your residence hall room key. SOAR On-Campus Lodging check in is located in New Hall South lobby.
*Students will be housed with other students of the same gender, separate from their guests. Students may make a request on the reservation form to room with another student who is attending the same session and is of the same gender.
**Guests (parents, etc) may make a request on the reservation form to room with another guest (another student's parent). The lodging fee is required for each guest staying on-campus overnight regardless of age.
Other Lodging Options
Participants can also choose to make their own arrangement at a local hotel, or if feasible, can stay at home or with a friend overnight.
