Application for Graduation
In addition to satisfying all degree requirements, a candidate
for a degree must file an Application for Graduation at the
beginning of the semester in which the degree is expected to
be conferred. The last date for the filing of the application
is contained in the Schedule of Classes and the calendar at
the front of this catalog. If a student applies for graduation
but fails to satisfy graduation requirements, the student must
reapply and pay a void diploma fee; this must be done by the
date appearing in the Schedule of Classes. The candidate is
expected to be present at the Commencement Exercise for the
conferral of the degree unless written authorization to graduate
in absentia is granted by the Associate Vice President of Research
and Graduate Studies.
