Master's Degree Requirements
The master's degree is a certification that the recipient
is able to read with understanding and apply with profit the
literature of his field. Since it is an indication of potential
rather than proven worth, its award will be based largely upon
the performance of the student in a formal program of study.
When an individual's academic background is adequate and when
the entire program is integrated toward a reasonable and worthwhile
goal, the program of study may be adjusted to be relevant with
the student's interest, even if the major area is interdisciplinary
in nature and crosses departmental lines.
