Process for General Education Course Proposals
1. Routing. Before reaching the TTUGEC, proposals must be approved
by the department where the course will be taught
and the college curriculum committee in which that department
is housed.
2. Timing. Proposals must reach Chair of the TTUGEC no later than
ten (10) class days prior to the next regularly
scheduled meeting.
3. Form. Proposals will follow the standard format approved for
curricular proposals at TTU (see http://www.tntech.edu/ucc/guidleines.htm).
In addition, any proposal for a new course
must include a checked list of outcomes (see under "General
Education Learning Outcomes" at http://www.tntech.edu/gened)
to be met by the course and a rationale for
adding it to the Core list.
