The
Governor's School for
Information Technology conducted at Tennessee
Technological University in
Cookeville, Tennessee
is a five week summer residence program designed to
provide an opportunity for gifted and talented high school students to
develop their
knowledge of information technology and business leadership.
It is part of the Tennessee Governor's School program. What
will you do?

Earn six hours of college credit in the information technology field |

Learn more about the latest in information technology |

Develop your interest in business leadership |
|
|
Stay on a college campus at Tennessee Technological University |

|
Learn from college professors and business leaders |
|
|
Build a business plan for an information technology-based business |

Enjoy exploring a variety of electives on information technology and business leadership |

Have fun with evening and weekend activities |

Meet other high school students with similar interests from across the state of Tennessee |
For those selected to attend the school, all of the costs (tuition, housing, meals, activities, etc.) are provided by the school. The only cost to the scholars is transportation to and from the school. The program will run from May 25 to June 28, 2008.
Students in the 10th and 11th grades who would like to participate in a
challenging and high intensity program should obtain applications from
their
school guidance counselor. The
resources of each school system should be utilized to the fullest
extent to
insure that the best possible candidates meeting the criteria listed
below
receive applications.

In the selection of students and faculty, the
Governor's School does not
