Curriculum
and Instruction, M.A., Ed.S.
The Master of Arts and Specialist in Education degrees in Curriculum
and Instruction at Tennessee Tech allow licensed classroom teachers
to further their professional studies, particularly in curriculum
design and development, and also provide an opportunity for graduates
seeking teacher licensure. The programs offer seven concentrations:
- Curriculum
- Early Childhood Education
- Elementary Education
- Library Science (M.A.)
- Reading
- Secondary Education
- Special Education
M.A. Admission Requirements:
- Satisfactory test scores on either the Miller Analogies Test (372 minimum for provisional standing or 380 minimum for full standing) or the General Record Exam (900 total on the verbal/quantitative portions and 4.0 on the analytical writing portion)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts from your bachelor's institution and any institutions attended since that degree
- Grade Point Average on Bachelor's degree of at least 2.5
Ed.S. Admission Requirements:
- Satisfactory test scores on either the Miller Analogies Test (380 minimum for provisional standing or 388 minimum for full standing) or the General Record Exam (900 total on the verbal/quantitative portions and 4.0 on the analytical writing portion)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts from your bachelor's and master's institutions and any institutions attended since those degrees
- Grade Point Average on Master's degree of at least 3.0
