Alpha Epsilon
Sigma Alpha Epsilon prides itself on being an international
fraternity with over 230 chapters throughout the United States and
Canada with over 250,000 initiated members. Sigma Alpha Epsilon
has been at Tennessee Technological University since 1969 and has
been in existence nationally since 1856.
Developing its members
into leaders and creating a close brotherhood are very important
to Sigma Alpha Epsilon. This is exemplified, as Sigma Alpha Epsilon
was the first fraternity to conduct a leadership school for its
undergraduate members. A constructive pledgeship is also believed
to be the best way to foster a strong brotherhood by having pledge
retreats and keeping them involved with the active chapter to create
a close knit circle.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon maintains a positive presence
on Tech's campus by participating in all intramural sports, Homecoming
activities, and IFC sponsored events. In the Cookeville area, SAE
is active in activities such as Toys for Tots, Teens Need Training
after school program, and Highway clean up.
