Housing and Design (HEHO)

Housing and Design focuses on the construction and design of residences, including the interior environment in addition to light commercial construction. The program of study is designed to give the student competency, skill, and knowledge needed by professionals in the field, especially computer and hand drafting skills.

Careers

Examples of career opportunities include kitchen and bath planner, residential design planner and/or consultant, housing and furnishings specialist, historic housing and furnishings preserver, and sales representative for home furnishings companies.

This concentration provides foundational course work for students who would like to become interior designers and/or attend graduate school. Also, it is an excellent program for those interested in becoming a real estate developers and/or agents.
