Recipient must be a Human Ecology Major.

Barbour Home Economics Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be a junior or senior in the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics Concentration; must have maintained a 3.3 GPA or above.

Calahan-Romines Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be a resident of Putnam County, preferably Algood, Tennessee, and a major in Human Ecology.

2009-10 Recipient: Megan Blaylock

Elkins Leadership Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be majoring in Agriculture or Human Ecology and have shown outstanding leadership in the University, College, School, or Community/Church.

2009-10 Recipient: Janette Norwood

Fashion Merchandising Scholarship

Recipient must be a junior or senior in the Merchandising and Design Concentration; must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours in Merchandising and Design Concentration; must have maintained a minimum of 2.5 GPA in Merchandising and Design Concentration; must exhibit financial need as determined by the School of Human Ecology Scholarship Committee. Scholarship is to be renewable for a maximum of four semesters, but recipient must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA in Merchandising and Design Concentration.

Freshman Human Ecology Scholarship

Recipient must be a freshman entering the School of Human Ecology.

Johna Johns Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must have completed the junior and senior years of high school in Van Buren County; must enroll in the School of Human Ecology; must demonstrate financial need; as a freshman scholarship, student must have a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher and present high school activities and volunteer work on application.

2009-10 Recipient: Dewayna Neese

Geraldine Piper Scholarship

Recipient must be a sophomore, junior or senior in the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics Concentration; recipient must have an overall GPA of 2.8; must be a U.S. citizen; financial need may be considered, but is not required.

2009-10 Recipient: Angela Hall

Geary/Bailey Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be a current or prospective full-time student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be majoring in Human Ecology; must have an overall GPA of 2.7 for a sophomore, junior, or senior; must have been a junior or senior 4-H Club member; must be from the former Extension Districts III and IV.

Human Ecology Alumni Endowed Scholarships

Recipient must be a sophomore, junior or senior Human Ecology major; must have been enrolled in the Human Ecology program for at least one year prior to the award; must have 2.5 GPA or above; must demonstrate determination to pursue a career in Human Ecology; must show evidence of leadership potential. Financial need may be taken into consideration for this award, but it is not a requirement.

Mary Verble Officer Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be a current Human Ecology student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies. Recipient must be a sophomore, junior, or senior student. Student must maintain a minimum "B" average.

Martin and Lorraine Peters Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be a graduate of a public, non-sectarian secondary school located in Tennessee; must be a freshman entering the School of Human Ecology; must have had an overall GPA of at least a "B".

2009-10 Recipients: Victoria Holcomb, Amber Huddle, and Brittany Jernigan

Putnam County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Recipient must be a Putnam County resident whose family is a member of the Putnam County Farm Bureau, in good academic standing, and a Human Ecology major.

2009-10 Recipient: Lee Ann Gray

Rehabilitation Corporation of Tennessee Scholarships

Recipient must be a citizen of the State of Tennessee from a rural area and with an agricultural background. The recipient shall be in need of outside financial help to enter or remain in college. The recipient shall be deserving of a scholarship and worthy of financial assistance. Recipient may be enrolled in any year of academic work and may receive a scholarship for a subsequent year, based on need and worthwhile accomplishment.

Anne Erhard Wright Endowed Scholarship

Recipient must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must major in Human Ecology.
