The Classlist tool allows you to track individuals, but not class totals.
A solution to this is to build an anonymous Survey that utilizes Likert
Questions for Quantitative data and then open ended questions for Qualitative
data on how useful the Content materials were. This would obtain more useful
information then whether or not the students clicked on the Topic.
To increase participation in the Survey and track which students completed it
you can:
1. Build a Survey and make it anonymous
2. Build a Quiz that connects to the grade book (it can be very simple - a
single question even and you can mark all the possible choices as being
correct).
3. Remove the Quiz and Survey links from the NavBar.
4. Inside the Content tool you can build a Topic that Connects to the survey.
Then build a Topic that connects to a Quiz and on this topic put the
Restriction/Release Condition that stipulates - "Survey Completed Survey
Attempt". This will make sure that only students who complete the Survey see
the Link to the Quiz which actually does the tracking of whether or not they
completed the Survey.
5. Finally, put a News announcement up that explains to students that they must
go to Content to do the survey and then return to content and do the quiz to
receive credit. |
