| Instructors can create self-assessments that students can take multiple times.The system automatically scores multiple choice, true/false, multiple answer, fill in the blank, matching, and ordering type questions and can display instructor-created feedback, explanations, hints and links to relevant course material. Instructors can create a database of questions that the system will randomize to create a unique self-assessment for each student. Regular expressions can be used to create unique variables and answers for every question. To Create a New Self Assessment 1. From the navigation bar, select the Self Assessment link
2. Click New Self Assessment and name the new assessment.
3. To add questions to the assessment, select the add/edit questions tab
4. Your question library should come up, allowing you to import questions as well as create new questions for the library. Select or create the questions you wish to add to the assessment.
5, Once you have added all the questions necessary, select the save assessment tab. Your Self Assessment will now be listed under current assessments. You can preview your assessment by selecting the preview assessment icon located to the right of your assessment. To add questions to an assessment at a future date, you can do so by selecting the name of the assessment from the current assessment window and selecting the add/edit questions tab. Students will now be able to take the assessment and receive feedback on their responses.  Student View of your tool or course
If you would like to view what your course or tools look like in the eyes of a student, you can do so using the Role Switch tool from the Course Home. By changing your role to "Student" you can navigate your class and see the course as a student would. Please note that under the student role you will be unable to view the gradebook, take quizzes, or view any items with conditional releases. Once you are finished using the student role, you can switch back to your instructor role by going back to the role switch tool in the Course Home and selecting "My Default Role."
