 essee Tech University student while you're at it.</p><p>The TTU Garden Club
 ’s annual plant auction will let you do just that, and this year’s is s
 et for 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, at the Hyder-Burks Pavilion.</p><p>A wide
  variety of plants for house and garden will be available at the auction, i
 ncluding perennials, shrubs and trees.</p><p>Horticulture faculty members D
 ouglas Airhart and Jed Young will be on hand to assist buyers who have ques
 tions about plant handling and other general information.Participants will 
 be treated to desserts, soft drinks and coffee — but get there early, bec
 ause all plants are typically auctioned off by 9:30 p.m.</p><p>Proceeds fro
 m the sale go toward an annual scholarship award for a student in horticult
 ure or landscape management.</p><p>Plants are being donated by individuals,
  local businesses and the School of Agriculture.</p>
