TTU On-Campus Majors
Program Requirements (minimum of 120 credit hours)
Interdisciplinary Studies is designed to allow individualized majors around a theme, significant problem or topic.
Step 1 - University Admission
You must apply for Undergraduate Admission to TTU and meet all admissions requirements.
Step 2 - General Education
You must meet the General Education Requirements of TTU. If you are a transfer student, it is critical to talk with your advisor prior to enrollment regarding the General Education Requirements and transferability. Step 3 - Registration Information
Once you have been advised and have a registration access code you can follow simple step-by-step instructions for registration.
If you register for any online courses you must go to TTU's RODP web site where you will find links to the virtual bookstore and a sample courses, as well as directions for logging in to class.
All students should check TTU Calendars for important dates to remember.
Lower Division Electives
Additional courses must be taken as electives to satisfy the minimum requirement of 120 credit hours.
Concentration Areas (24 hours)
The major must include two upper division concentration areas (12 hours per area). No course may be used for more than one concentration.

Culminating Special Project (3 hours) (senior status required)
Culminating Special Project must be approved by an advisor. A permit is required to be able to register for the course.
Upper Division Electives (18 hours)
- Related Upper Division Elective Courses (18 hours)
An additional 18 semester hours (or 12 hours electives plus 6 hour internship noted below) may be drawn from the noted concentration areas or selected from other areas to complement the degree program. - Internship (3 - 6 hours) (optional as an elective / junior status)
Must be approved by an advisor. A permit is required to be able to register for the course.
Graduation Requirements include the following:
- At least 120 total semester hours.
- At least 60 semester hours from a 4-year institution, of which, at least 30 hours are from TTU.
- At least 45 semester hours at the 3000-4000 level
- No more than 24 semester hours in business course will count toward graduation
