Conference Planning Committee

 The ASG's Conference  Committee oversees planning of TTU Honors Program participation at state, regional, and national honors conferences.

The committee is currently planning the Tennessee State Honors Conference, which will be held at Tennessee Tech February 22-23, 2013.  Co-chairs Lydia Holmes and Haley Dirmeyer will be coordinating Honors students to assist in carrying out the tasks necessary for a successful conference.

Chair Prerequisites

Experience attending and presenting at Honors conferences.

Chair Requirements:

  • At least one chair must participate in each honors conference that TTU is attending.
  • Advertise conferences at least one month in advance of the proposal deadline.
  • Serve as contact persons for conference information.
  • Collect panel proposals, compile them, and present them to the Directors.
  • Plan and oversee mandatory rehearsal sessions.
  • Review Honors behavior rules, etiquette, and guidelines with conference attendees.
  • Be in charge of registering students punctually.
