Academy for Emerging Technologies
The President's Academy for Emerging Technologies is a challenging summer enrichment program designed to stimulate and build interest in engineering, technology, science, and mathematics. Program content is focused on the emerging technologies, including: biotechnology, nanotechnology, and information technology. The academy capitalizes on the unique array of high technology research and development organizations located across the State of Tennessee to provide students with an opportunity to learn from leading researchers and experience cutting-edge research facilities.

This six-day session is for students currently enrolled in 9th and 10th grades in Cannon Clay Dekalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, White, and Van Buren counties and Alvin C. York Institute. Participants are selected by UCHRA, TTU, and local school representatives and applications must be submitted directly to their respective school guidance offices in those counties. There is no charge to attend.

Students will live in a TTU residence hall and dine in the campus cafeteria. This program is funded by UCHRA and the TN Department of Labor, and there are no fees. Participants will be chosen through a competitive selection process.
