2 Plus 2 Education Program
Tennessee Tech University’s College of Education and School
of Interdisciplinary Studies & Extended Education are partnering
with Pellissippi State Community College, Roane State Community
College (Crossville and Oak Ridge sites), Motlow State Community
College (Tullahoma and McMinnville sites), and Chattanooga State
Technical Community College to offer 2+2 Elementary Education programs
on the community college campuses.
The program, which offers on-site delivery of the third and fourth
years of the College of Education’s teacher licensure program,
is designed to mirror the quality of on-campus classes while
increasing
accessibility. While the Department of Curriculum and Instruction
oversees the academic efforts, the School of Interdisciplinary
Studies
& Extended Education manages the logistics of the endeavor.
