Qualifications
A Ph.D. degree in chemistry, with emphasis in analytical chemistry, required; postdoctoral research and prior teaching experience preferred. Candidates must have a demonstrated potential to excel as an educator and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in analytical chemistry. Research interests should include environmental chemistry, and should complement rather than duplicate those of current faculty.
Essential Functions
Teach in the undergraduate and graduate chemistry program including laboratory courses in analytical chemistry. Develop a strong, independent research program that includes the participation of undergraduate and graduate students, and must pursue external funding to support their research program. Ability to participate in the Environmental Sciences Ph.D. program is expected. Applicants will be expected to participate in professional and community service as well as demonstrate collegiality and cooperation within the Department, College, and University.
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience.
