Media Center PC Lab
- Jaws software on one Dell computer.
- ZOOM-Text software on one Dell computer.
- One E-Mac computer is linked to a scanner.
- Adjustable [universal] tables.
- Headphones are available.
Video Magnifiers
The Media Center has five portable video magnifiers designed to assist the visually impaired to read printed text and to view pictures in black and white or full color. These check out for one semester.
Viewing Rooms
The library reserves three small viewing rooms for persons with disabilities
- Room 125: Dell Optiplex computer connected to an Aladdin Genie Pro Vision Magnifier. User can toggle back and forth between the magnification screen and the computer screen to create documents. The computer is equipped with ZOOM-TEXT software and has an oversized display screen. This machine is also linked to a scanner and has Kurzweil 1000 loaded on it.
- Room 126: Dell Optiplex computer with JAWS software connected to a Tiger Braille printer.
- Room 127: Dell Optiplex computer with Jaws software connected to a scanner and has Kurzweil 3000 software.
Viewing Stations
Room 120 has a viewing station equipped with a CCTV magnification system.
