Career Overview - Before Compaq
Before Compaq, Jack Swaim was VP-Quality for Cummins.  As such, he provided leadership and support with other members of the Cummins team to improve operations for all stakeholders.  Jack was part of the Xerox management team from 1970 until 1993.  During that time he held positions in marketing, sales, finance, business and product planning, services, and quality.  While VP, Business Strategy, he was part of the core executive team which led Xerox’s 1989 Baldrige application.  He subsequently led Xerox’s worldwide service strategy and was VP, Quality and Customer Satisfaction for U.S. Customer Operations.
