Message from Chair

We are among the best higher education departments of Manufacturing and Industrial Technology (MIT) in the Southeast. We offer an application-oriented program in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology. We provide you with the theoretical background combined with hands-on skills needed for job hunting in the real world. Our course work requires dedication - but if you are ambitious, ready to invest in your professional career, want solid preparation for future employment, and want to be part of the technology revolution that will change the world in the 21st century - then TTU's MIT Department is the place for you.

You will have daily contact with our faculty, and they will help you grow in their technological fields of specialization. We are interested in you and your success. We also want to be sure you find the many extra-curricular activities we provide to our MIT students. Co-op work experience in many leading companies, the variety of activities offered by our student chapters of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the American Foundry Society, the Moon Buggy Club and the FSAE Formula Car Club are rewarding professional experiences. Remember that broadened horizons, effort and hard work will translate into growing careers and higher paying jobs after your graduation.
