Dead Week Policy
During the week prior to final examinations University-sponsored social and extracurricular activities should be curtailed. Concerts, recitals, and tours will not be approved for the Departmental Calendar.
As stated in the TTU Faculty Handbook, no examination or extensive assignments should be given during the week prior to final examinations except as follows
- Quizzes covering no more than one week's worth of new material.
- Major tests unanimously requested by the class.
- Approved final examinations.
- Evaluation in laboratories, independent study, or self-paced courses.
During regular semesters, at least one day should intervene between the last class meeting day and the first scheduled final examination for that class.
