Kimberly WinkleArt Appreciation

Kimberly Winkle is currently an Adjunct Faculty member in the Music and Art Department at Tennessee Technological University. In recent years she has taught a number of Design Foundation and Art Appreciation courses at a number of academic institutions. These include, Tennessee Technological University, San Diego State University, Appalachian Center for Craft and Nashville State Technical Community College. She currently is the Artist in Residence in the wood department at the Appalachian Center for Craft where she also teaches workshops.

Kimberly is originally from Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Oklahoma, with an emphasis in ceramics. Prior to coming to Tennessee she lived in San Diego, CA where she attended graduate school at San Diego State University in Furniture Design. She currently lives in Smithville, TN where she makes studio art furniture and objects. She exhibits her work extensively and is in a number of public and private collections.
