With the push on to increase enrollment theres been much speculation about how the university might benefit from the latest marketing efforts. And now that the final numbers are in, it appears these efforts may well have played a roll in helping the university achieve record enrollment.
How? By getting information about TTU before prospective students who might not have known much about the university beforehand.
Marketings contribution to growing enrollment is increasing the size of the inquiry pool at the top of the enrollment funnel. To do this, our efforts are primarily focused on getting the universitys name and message before as many prospective students as possible, explains Marketing Director Alisa Frazier. For example, our TV commercial and print advertisements are designed to generate students interest in learning more about TTU, which hopefully encourages them to inquire about us or possibly submit their ACT or SAT scores.
In the final analysis, how did this years inquiry numbers stack up against last years?
Our goal this year was to increase the number of inquiries by 3 percent, continued Frazier. Im very pleased to report that we not only reached that goal, we surpassed it.
