Non-Credit Language Courses
Basic Arabic
Spring 2012 TTU’s office of Extended Programs will be offering a non-credit course in “Basic Arabic”. This course has no prerequisites and is designed for non Arabic speaking students to obtain an understanding of the Arabic alphabet and basic communication skills. The class will start January 30th, 2012 and end Arpil 16th, 2012 at a cost of $100/student. The class will meet on campus in South Hall room 219 Monday nights from 6:00p.m. - 8:30p.m. The last day to register for this class is January 30th, 2012; there are a limited number of seats available. Intermediate Arabic
Spring 2012 TTU's office of Extended Programs will be offering a non-credit course in “Intermediate Arabic”. This course is a continuation of Basic Arabic and the Prerequisite is “Basic Arabic” or acceptance by the teacher. This course is about listening and conversing in Arabic. The class will start Februrary 1th, 2012 and end April 18th, 2011 at a cost of $100/student. The class will meet on campus in South Hall room 219 Wednesday nights from 6:00p.m.-8:30p.m. The last day to register for this class is April 18th, 2012; there are a limited number of seats available. Advanced Arabic
Fall 2012 TTU's office of Extended Programs will be offering a non-credit course in "Advanced Arabic". This course is a continuation of Intermediate Arabic and It designed to help students reach a high standard of proficiency in Arabic, by strengthening their reading-comprehension skills, enhancing vocabulary, and expanding their knowledge of sentence construction and the Arabic verb system. The class will start January 31st, 2012 and end April 17th, 2012 at a cost of $100/student. An Introduction to Arabic Culture
This is an introductory course in Arabic culture. Students will learn a brief history and development of Arabic culture from the classical period to the present, and the major cultural institutions of the Arabic-speaking world. The class will start February 2nd, 2012 and end April 19th, 2012 at a cost of $100/student. The class will be a hybrid and meet on campus in South Hall room 219 Thursday nights from 6:00p.m.-8:30p.m. when class meetings are required.
