hello.

Welcome to the Office of Communications & Marketing at Tennessee Tech. We are responsible for the university's news, images, visual identity, branding, marketing and Web presence.

What is the Office of Communications & Marketing?

The Office of Communications & Marketing serves as the central hub for campus publications, media relations, Web design, marketing, advertising, licensing, social media, visual identity and photography. With a team consisting of communications, media relations, photographic, marketing, design and Web professionals, our office can consult with you about your goals for departmental programs and special initiatives. Our services can be tailored to meet your needs. Sometimes our office creates a simple but effective poster advertising an upcoming departmental lecture series or production at the Backdoor Playhouse; other times, we coordinate communications and marketing efforts for an entire campus-wide initiative, like the annual TTU Purple Pride Days promotion. We look forward to assisting you in your communications and marketing goals!

The News & Communications unit provides media outlets, as well as faculty, staff and students, with news and information about all aspects of the university. We work to promote a positive image of the university and to support TTU’s strategic goals. Marketing tntech.edu/marketing   The goal of marketing is to create and execute consistent and engaging strategies that tell the stories of Tennessee Tech University and to strengthen brand recognition among prospective and current TTU students, faculty, alumni and donors. Marketing’s main focus is on new student recruitment but also assists other campus units for marketing strategy and advice. All advertising placed on behalf of the university should first be sent to the Marketing director for approval. In addition, Marketing has limited quantities of promotional items (stickers, lanyards, ink pens, etc.) available to departments at no charge for recruitment purposes. Marketing also provides equipment for campus units at no charge for checkout. Faculty and staff may use this equipment for formal presentations/set ups/college fairs on behalf of the university.
