Dr. Patricia Coleman began teaching at Tennessee Tech University in 2000. She received from the Mississippi University for Women her B.F.A. in Three Dimensional Design and M.F.A. in Painting. At the University of Alabama she received her Ed.D. in Administration and Educational Leadership - Art Education. Early professional experiences were directed toward Interior Design. The last thirty five years have been directed toward teaching art/art education in public schools and universities in numerous states. Her students have been nationally and internationally recognized for their creative and research skills. The Upper Cumberland Region has also benefited from their artistic abilities through many grants conducting art therapy workshops and many community murals.
