  • 10AM-10PM Great Move-In Day Begins - Residence Halls
  • 7PM The Tree House Presents: An Evening of Music with The Ballinger Family Band & Hot Club Time Machine - Backdoor Playhouse (Free and open to all new & returning students along with family members)

Friday, August 26

  • 12PM Minority Student Welcome - Tech Pride Room (University Center 1st Floor)
  • 2PM University 1020 Peer Mentor Meeting (Freshmen Only; Locations are determined by Peer Mentor)
  • 3PM University Convocation - Hooper Eblen Center (Freshmen & Families Only; Must wear purple 2011 Week of Welcome shirt received at SOAR)
  • 4PM Class of 2015 Group Picture - Overall Field at Tucker Stadium (Freshmen Only; Must wear purple 2011 Week of Welcome shirt received at SOAR)
  • 5PM Student Organization Mix n' Mingle - North Dixie Ave
  • 6PM Dinner on Dixie - North Dixie Ave
  • 7PM Dancin' on Dixie Concert - North Dixie Ave

    • 11AM-1PM Religious Organizations and Churches Fair - Multipurpose Room (University Center 2nd Floor)
    • 7PM Movies on the Main Quad - Center of Main Quad

    Sunday, August 28

    • 2PM Freshmen Fall Classes Guided Tour with SOAs - Tech Pride Room (University Center 1st Floor)
    • 4PM-6PM Fun, Food, and Games on The Main Quad (co-Sponsored by Chi Alpha)

    Monday, August 29 - First Day of Classes

    • 8AM First Day of Classes
    • 5PM Intramurals Kick-Off Cookout - Intramural Fields
