Q - What majors does TTU offer?
Tennessee Tech University offers 90 undergraduate majors. Even though our middle name is Technological, TTU is a comprehensive university with a wide variety of course offerings.
Q - Where is TTU located?
Tennessee Tech's campus is located on the north side of Cookeville, Tennessee, about three miles from Interstate-40. Located approximately halfway between Nashville and Knoxville, Cookeville's population is about 26,000.
Q - How many students live on campus?
TTU has more than 2,000 students living in residence halls and in campus apartments.
Q –- Does my student have to live in
the residence halls?
Students whose permanent address is not within a 50-mile radius are required to live in the residence halls for four semesters. There are exceptions, such as living with a family member who does not attend Tennessee Tech.
Q - What is the cost of attendance per year?
The total cost for in-state maintenance fees
and charges (tuition), room, meal plan and books/supplies is
about $12,510 for the 2007-2008 school year. A detailed listing

Q - What are the different colleges at TTU?
Tennessee Tech is known as Tennessee's Technological
University, but houses six strong academic divisions - the
College of Agricultural and Human Sciences (which includes
the School of Nursing), College of Arts and Sciences, College
of Business, College of Education, College of Engineering,
and School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Extended Education.
Q –- How many students are at TTU and
what does that translate to in the classroom?
With a 2007 record enrollment of 10,321 students,
more than 50% of classes have 20 students or fewer. Strong
faculty/student relationships are a hallmark of the TTU educational
experience.
