HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
"Tennessee Tech is a long way from home (South Africa) - but if, as the saying goes, HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS, Lloyd is going to feel really close.
It's been my experience that often, in a highly professional environment, there is a sacrifice in terms of warmth and friendliness. Not so at Tennessee Tech! The staff and students @ Tennessee Tech are to be commended on the rare combination of utmost professionalism on the on hand, and boundless warmth and care on the other.
As difficult as it is to send our son to college so far from home, we feel totally comfortable that he is in an excellent college - both challenging and nurturing. Thank you to ALL who made our visit so special and who we know will continue to make the experience a richly rewarding one for our son."
Warm regards

Campus Visit
My name is Polly Martin. My son, Ryan, and I visited the campus at Tech on Tuesday November,14th. I wanted to take the time to thank you and your staff for being kind, courteous and informative.
Ryan has applied at 3 colleges and Tech was the first one that we had scheduled to visit. I had heard all of the horror stories about applying to colleges and was overwhelmed at the thought of even beginning the process. We started with Tech and I have to tell you that it was simple and easy to do. I simply printed off the checklist and have followed it. Your website was easy to navigate too, which made the whole process stress free. The application process at the other 2 colleges were not as easy and I was ready to pull my hair out just trying to figure out the next step.
We then came for our visit at TTU and it was great. Ryan is going to major in Music Ed and after meeting with Mr. Harris and Mr. Martin, touring the campus and touring housing, Ryan has decided to attend Tech. His decision was based on the entire campus visit. He has asked the the other 2 colleges to cancel his scheduled visits.
As a parent I have no reservations about sending my son to TTU for the next 4 yrs of his life.
Thanks again to everyone in admissions, the Music Department and Housing for making it a great visit.
Thanks,
Polly Martin
Another year : ) mother of a TTU student
"Another year (our 2nd)....and just to let you know
what a wonderful first year we have had with our daughter,
Rachel....
Still hate to see her leave home (mothers do), but I know she's coming
to a place she loves and to those who care about her education. AND
your administrative office is so easy to work with. Thanks for all
you do to keep us parents ( and students ) happy". : )

Letter to the President of Tennessee Tech
Dear President Bell:
I wanted to say thank you for having the wonderful staff you have. I have been so pleased working with each and every one of the people on your team. WOW! ... First I want you to know that everyone at TTU has been very upbeat, positive and happy to help me in any way. … The people in the financial aid office have always been helpful and supportive. …Carolyn Brown, Secretary, Honors Program, helped me…. I know she was very busy that day but she acted as though Sarah was the only student to be assisted – what a rare talent!
Pam Womac, Secretary, Department of Foreign Languages, was magnificent too. When she could not answer my question, she made sure she notified me the day she received the information. How she remembered which parent wanted that information is amazing to me. And the fact she did remember means you have a very special person working for you. You have many special people working for you. How lucky you are and how fortunate for the students at Tennessee Tech.
If you ever need a recommendation from a parent of an incoming student, please feel free to call on me. I am looking forward to a great partnership for the next four years.
Sincerely,
Teresa Brewer Campbell
