Adjunct Instructor of Viola at TTU since 2008.
Idalynn Besser divides her interests between teaching and performing. In Nashville, she performs frequently with the Nashville Symphony, and in Cookeville she is Assistant Principal VIola of the Bryan Symphony Orchestra. Prior to moving to Tennessee, she played with the Alabama Symphony, Victoria Symphony (Canada) and the Louisville Orchestra.
Her viola students have been selected to perform in master classes at the 2010 International VIola Congress and have received scholarships for study at summer festivals and conservatories such as Credo, Sewanee, Eastman, Indiana, and North Texas. Idalynn also works with pre-college violists and violinists at Belmont Academy in Nashville, Tn.
