For further information on the Library Science program/certification, please look under the in depth tabs (to left of the screen).
I have resided at Tennessee Technological University in the College of Education since 2003. Within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction nests the Library Science concentration. The state of Tennessee requires all school librarians (K-12) to obtain a masters degree (or higher) with at least a concentration in library science and our program at TTU provides just that. The concentration, as part of the TTU College of Education, is NCATE (CAEP) accredited.Expertise
While my background is mainly in university level libraries, many concepts emanate in K-12 libraries. My experience in teaching preservice (and sometimes inservice) librarians has been far reaching. School libraries continue to change with the influx of technology and completely lend themselves to support Common Core Standards.
