Employed by the Center for Manufacturing Research and Technology Utilization at Tennessee Tech University from 1985 to 2010, My duties with the CMR have included the support of the various Microsoft Office applications, along with Microsoft Windows NT server, Microsoft Windows 2003 server, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Project server, Microsoft Windows 9X, NT, 2000 & XP, Microsoft Internet Information server, Netscape Calendar server, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla and their email clients among other software applications, both general office and specialized engineering applications. I provide the CMR (along with any engineering faculty involved in external projects through the CMR) with hardware and software consultation and support. I’ve also supported Macintosh hardware and software within the College of Engineering. I’ve created a web-based external project budget proposal calculator as well as creating a departmental book keeping software application for the CMR’s finances using Microsoft SQL server and VB.NET software. I’ve also supported video conferences and related projection and audio equipment for the Center since 1985.
