General Information
All admitted new incoming freshman students will receive a letter in the mail in the spring inviting them to attend a SOAR session during the summer. All new incoming freshmen are required to attend a SOAR session. We encourage parents to attend with their student, but SOAR is not required for parents.
Freshman Orientation website has many details about the SOAR program, including attendance fees, agendas, frequently asked questions, and more. We recommend that both students and parents read the information on these sites to fully understand the SOAR program.
Please note: Space is limited at each session, so remind your student to decide on a SOAR session and reserve the date soon after receiving the SOAR letter in the mail. Reservations will be accepted starting on the date listed in your student's invitation, so please read the letter carefully for full instructions.
