Tennessee Tech University will celebrate the investiture of Dr. Philip B. Oldham as its ninth president on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hooper Eblen Center.
Please respond by Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, regarding your plans to either participate in the investiture ceremony or to attend the ceremony and reception.
TTU Faculty and Staff: If you want to dress in academic regalia and march in the investiture processional during the ceremony, RSVP as a participant. Those marching in the processional must dress in academic regalia and will be seated on the arena floor during the ceremony. TTU faculty and staff who do not have regalia or do not want to march in the processional should RSVP as a guest.
In addition to the investiture ceremony and reception, Dr. Oldham will be honored as TTU’s ninth president during the TTU Sports Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2. For more information or to make reservations, please call (931) 372-3940.
It’s also Homecoming weekend at Tennessee Tech, and Dr. Oldham and his wife, Kari, are honored to be the grand marshals of the 2012 Homecoming parade. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the football game against Eastern Illinois will begin at 1:30 p.m.
