Microsoft's Tech Rush Day Scheduled for TTU

If you've ever looked at your computer and dreamed of someday working with a computer company, your dream might soon come true. Representatives from Microsoft will be holding a Tech Rush Day at Tennessee Technological University to inform all students and community members about career opportunities available in the information technology (IT) industry.

The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20 in the OVC Room of Tennessee Tech's University Center. The session will include presentations by Microsoft Sales Representatives and Systems Engineers as well as Microsoft Partners. Participants are encouraged to bring resumes and will have a one-hour break to speak one-on-one with the representatives. Those who attend can also sign up to win free software.

The career expo, sponsored by Microsoft, is part of a 10-day nationwide "blitz" expected to attract over 5,000 skilled IT professionals and 17,000 individuals seeking employment in the computing industry. For more information, call Lynn Haley at 372-3163.
