Bacchanal 2009 offers art, music and auction to support scholarships

Guests will enjoy live jazz by John Richards while they treat themselves to a delicious cocktail buffet, taste a variety wines and specialty beers, and peruse the wide selection of art and fine craft available during the exciting live auction that starts at 2:30 p.m.
“The Bacchanal’s generous supporters continue to donate artwork, funds, products and services, as well as their immense talents, to the event. The planning and execution of the Bacchanal is a prime example of a successful partnership between the community and the University that provides extensive opportunities for our students,” said Ward Doubet, director of the Appalachian Center for Craft and Bacchanal committee chairman.
“The Bacchanal’s devoted donors have been committed to the success and growth of the event and its mission of supporting art students and their education,” said Jane Dudney Roberts, promotions and development manager at the Craft Center and Bacchanal coordinator.
