The Bacchanal is presented by Tennessee Tech and the Appalachian Center for Craft in support of art student scholarships and programming at the university.
The popular Sunday afternoon event offers a broad selection of wine and specialty beer for tasting, an extraordinary cocktail buffet, live jazz, and the main event – the exciting live auction of art and fine craft.
“I am thrilled to be coordinating the Bacchanal this year,” beamed Beth Smith, the Craft Center’s new program manager. “It is a favorite and fun event and so supportive of the talented students in our bachelor of fine arts program.”
The in-door / outdoor event has grown in the past several years and now includes 3,000 square feet of outdoor dining and auction space.
“With the increased attendance, we began to make expansions in 2008,” said Michael Floyd, committee member and award-winning artist. “I was happy to contribute to making that growth and transition run smoothly.”
“I look forward to working with the Bacchanal committee,” added Smith. “They are a dedicated group representative of the university, business and art communities.”
Don’t miss this opportunity to support art students at TTU while enjoying an afternoon of entertainment, culinary adventures and bidding on world-class art and fine craft during Bacchanal 2010 on Sunday, Oct. 24.
Reservations are $40 per person in advance (until Friday, Oct. 22) and $50 per person at the door (there are no printed tickets for the event; reservations only).
