Barr, daughter of Mary Barr and the late Samuel Barr, is a freshman at TTU. She was included on the university’s dean’s list for fall, 2012, and enjoys exercising, participating in sports, and helping with children’s athletic camps.

The Worrell scholarship is awarded to a full-time student with a grade-point average of at least 2.75 who wants to go into the coaching profession. Bill Worrell is a member of TTU’s Athletic Hall of Fame and coached the women’s basketball team. His wife started the State Farm Insurance Agency in Cookeville.
