Bett Brown Awarded for Investing Time in Students

Tennessee Technological University's Bett Brown invests time in caring for students and was honored for her efforts with this month's ambassador award. Student E. Netasha Brown said Brown, a university police secretary, "took me under her wing and turned me from a green freshman into an active, well-connected student. Because I worked with this lady for four years, I became active in many organizations and acquired another job on campus. She is a joy and inspiration, not to mention a valuable asset. I would not have gotten the most out of Tennessee Tech if it had not been for Mrs. Brown." Nomination forms for Tech Ambassador of the Month are available from the university's Personnel/Payroll Office in Derryberry Hall.
