For five weeks this summer, 36 high school students had the chance to learn what the college experience is like.
The students were part of the Governor’s School for Information Technology Leadership at Tennessee Tech University. Throughout their time at Tech, the students lived in TTU dorms, took two TTU classes and learned how to write a business plan. They leave with a memorable experience and six hours of college credit.
Ryan Regal of Maryville High School was chosen to participate in the program.
The students were divided into six groups with six students per group. Each group developed a complete business plan for an information-technology oriented company.
