Bradley County’s Beck receives award from TTU

Michael William Beck of Cleveland, Tenn., was recently honored by Tennessee Tech University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Beck, son of Mary and Scott Beck, received the McDowell-Blankenship Memorial Scholarship, given to a chemistry major who is progressing well in courses an maintaining full-time status. Beck a junior ACS biochemistry major, is a 2007 graduate of Walker Valley High School.

Beck is a TTU resident assistant and is active in the American Chemical Society and ASBMB. He earned an internship to Colgate-Palmolive Co.’s 2010 Global Research and Development Summer Internship Program.
