Ceramics exhibition by Alice Sullivan on display at Craft Center through July 31

An exhibit of contemporary, figurative sculpture in ceramics by Alice Sullivan will be on display through July 31 in the Appalachian Center for Craft’s Gallery Two.

Sullivan’s sculptural artwork is a form of personal expression — a way for the artist to share part of herself — and it emphasizes a visual vocabulary with the viewer.

She handbuilds her figures with white earthenware, and the underglazes provide soft, muted colors.

The Craft Center, a satellite campus of Tennessee Tech University, is located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Go south toward Smithville on Highway 56 and turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
