Champagne gala to support TTU Library set for Homecoming Day, Nov. 1

The 21st annual Friends of the Library Foundation’s Champagne Gala is set from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, following the Tennessee Tech University Homecoming football game that afternoon.

Proceeds from the Gala — which will be held at the Cookeville/Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Leslie Town Centre located at 1 W. First St. — will benefit the Angelo and Jennette Volpe Library and Media Center at TTU.

The cost of the event is $20 per person and includes champagne — as well as a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, such as punch or coffee — and gourmet appetizers and desserts.

“With the decadent assortment of appetizers and desserts planned for this year, there will be something on the menu to please everyone’s tastes,” said Betty Case, one of the event organizers.

O.J. Cummins and the Four Horns, an easy listening jazz ensemble, will provide music.

“They’ve played at the Gala in the past, and their talent really sets the mood for the entire evening,” she said.
