Rachel Estelle Coleman, a Tennessee Tech University student from Martin, Tenn., has been awarded the James Estes Paris Scholarship.
Coleman, a freshman civil engineering major at TTU, was awarded for her academic excellence as part of the engineering program.
Coleman, a graduate of Westview High School, is the daughter of Tina and Scott Coleman and the granddaughter of John and Helen Coleman of Martin, Tenn., and Kenneth and Donna Ballinger of Mayfield, Ky.
