Tennessee Tech University invites the community to the eighth annual Student Research Day to meet students and witness their innovative research achievements from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in the RUC multipurpose room.
The Office of Research and Graduate Studies hosts the event to promote student scholarship through research. The symposium provides an opportunity for students to share recent research efforts toward discovery of new knowledge and solutions to global challenges.
Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit abstracts and posters for the exhibition by March 11. More than 150 student researchers across academic disciplines and majors presented their studies in 2012. This year, our goal is to increase student engagement and participation through intellectual dialogue and a poster competition.
Posters will be judged and awards presented for the best posters of the undergraduate and graduate divisions. Volunteer faculty judges and community partners will select winners of each participating academic department. Winners will receive a ribbon and bronze medallion during the program. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
