Craft student exhibit features conceptual home furnishings

thumb_lostatsea2Homage, a bachelor of fine arts thesis exhibition in fiber, will be hosted by the Appalachian Center for Craft. The exhibit by Lauren Bryant will run April 7-11 in North Windows Gallery.

The exhibit will showcase conceptual home furnishings inspired by dream-like imagery.

Working within her idea, “Creation makes dreams tangible.” Lauren finds creating through hand weaving, soft sculpture, fabric manipulation, and wood appropriately satisfying. The artist will be available in gallery on April 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Appalachian Center for Craft is conveniently located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Traveling south on Hwy. 56, take immediate left after crossing Hurricane Bridge.
