Kristen Cuccia of Hermitage was recently awarded the Carlene Hall Memorial Scholarship from Tennessee Tech University.
Cuccia is a sophomore human ecology student who hopes to work with mentally disabled children in some capacity after she graduates. She is a member of Alpha Lamda Delta Honor Society and holds a 3.8 GPA.
She is one of three students selected to receive the scholarship, which is named in honor of the personal friend of an anonymous donor. An endowment of $500,000 was given to TTU’s Office of Disability Services to pay for scholarships for students with at least a 3.0 GPA and who meet several other criteria as set by the Office of Disability Services.
