Explore ‘Good Fortune’ at Appalachian Center for Craft
Susan Myers' work as a visual artist explores the concept of value through transformation. She creates artwork informed by contemporary ideas while utilizing the language of metalsmithing and the methodology of the consummate craftsman.
Myers' exhibition, "Good Fortune," will be on display at the Appalachian Center for Craft through March 10.
Her work explores a paradox between materials, process and context. Utilizing this approach, she explores our modern way of life — what we consume and how we consume it — literally and figuratively.
The Appalachian Center for Craft is located about six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville /McMinnville). Go south on Highway 56. Turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center. The gallery is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
