Four TTU students receive scholarships honoring Lauren Knieling

Four Cookeville High School graduates attending Tennessee Tech University recently accepted scholarships established in honor of Lauren Knieling. Knieling, a 2006 Cookeville High School graduate and daughter of Ken and Jane Knieling, was killed in an automobile accident shortly after graduation. Jeff and Kathy Callahan established the endowed scholarship to honor Lauren’s friendship with their daughter, Lindsay, and to pay tribute to Lauren’s strong character, faith and personality. The scholarship is open to graduates of Cookeville High School who are involved in a church or youth activity group and who have demonstrated a charitable spirit by participating or volunteering with local community organizations. This year’s recipients are Christina Riddle (CHS ‘08), Megan Blaylock (CHS ‘09), John D. Allison (CHS ‘06), and Stephen “Blake” Pierce (CHS ‘07).
