Free small business start-up seminar in Gainesboro Aug. 11The Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Tennessee Tech University will conduct a free seminar, "How to Start a Small Business," at 12:15-2:15 p.m. Aug. 11 in Gainesboro.
The seminar is presented in cooperation with the Gainesboro/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and addresses topics of interest to potential entrepreneurs and new small business owners.
Topics include: business start-up basics, business structures, challenges for startups, business planning, cash needs, financing options and more.
The seminar will be conducted at the Jackson County UT Agricultural Extension office at 757 S. Grundy Quarrels Highway. Lunch will be provided by the chamber and preregistration is required. Space limited to 25 participants. The seminar will be presented by Vicki Henley, director of the TTU Small Business Development Center.
